Pat’s Poem – The Boiler Room

The Boiler Room – By Pat, created while looking at paintings of WWII coastal bombing.

A parachute came down in the night.
Falling from the sky over Bagshot.
My Grandmother came down to the boiler room…
Step, step, step…
To stoke the boiler…
A German pilot was hiding.
He was young.
He was scared.
He was hidden in the warm room.
She had to turn him over to the authorities.
We never saw him again.
Did he keep warm?
